Today we were looking at character descriptions. We made a web talking about how we would feel if someone in our family went missing because in our book the mom went missing. Children came up and wrote their ideas on the chart paper. We then chose a character from the story and another character from a story they read before and compared it in a Venn Diagram. After the break, we continued reading and made a diary entry from the perspective of a character in the book.
The children really enjoyed writing in fiction form because they were able to express their ideas freely.
