Today in Year 3 Fox we started reading the The Book of Legends by Lenny Henry. As we were reading we discussed some of the concepts and meaning behind the storyline. We did a recounting activity where students would retell the story or major events that happened so far in the reading along with a picture.
After reading up to chapter 5 of the book we made predictions about what is going to happen next in the story. Children would use their imagination to make an accurate prediction based on the characters, setting and plot. We are putting a focus on reading and writing skills this week in a fun educational way.
